Summer, Elephants, and Plums

Well, I have quickly gotten into my summer routine :). My life at this point consists of reading, sleeping in, working, and eating.
We are leaving to go up to Canada next week and I cannot wait! We will go up for camp then to Cochrane for a week. I haven't seen Mae for two years so I can't wait! It will be really hard not having Olavi there, but.....
Right now we are watching a video but my aunt called so I'm waiting for Mom to get off the phone.
BTW did you ever hear about the man that went on a safari to Africa? Well this guy goes to Africa and he's walking along one day when an elephant steps out in front of him. The man is pretty scared at first, but then notices the elephant is limping. To the man's amazement, the elephant holds up his paw in which a twig is stuck. The man pulls out the twig and the elephant waves and walks away.
20 years later the man takes his son on a safari to Africa. While walking through the jungle they come across an elephant. They are scared at first, but to their amazement the elephant holds up his paw then waves! The man is amazed, "No way, it's the same elephant!"
20 years later, the man take his grandson to the zoo. While there they stop to look at the elephant cage. One of the elephants upon sight of the man picks up his paw and waves. To the horror of everyone in the audience the man scrambles over the cage to reunite with his elephant friend. The elephant picks up the man with his trunk and slams him against the edge of the cage. It probably wasn't the same elephant.

Well, I have some very sad news :(. Rachel's brother passed away tonight. So terrible to have happened on Father's Day.
I absolutely cannot imagine having something like that happen. I know one day I'll have to face parents, aunts, uncles, etc. but a brother just seems so cruel.
If you read this Luke and Rachel, know you are not alone. I love you guys so much and wish I could be there with you right now.

Well, we just got back from a grill out at Tony and Sherry's place. The Orcutt's came over also and we had lots of fun. Especially winning corn hole :)
Besides that, I slept in till 9:30, cleaned the house, baby-sat, cleaned the house some more, went to their house, got home, updated facebook and blog (the essentials of life), am presently trying to decide whether or not to take my shower in the morning or tonight.... hmmmmm.... oh the questions of life.
Why am I even writing all this? I really don't think anyone besides Marjie and YaLaina read my blog... maybe I'll just delete it... or not update it for two years like Titus.... there are possibilities.....
I think I shall go to bed and ponder deep thoughts whilest I sleep. Have you ever tried sleeping on your science book to make you smarter? It doesn't work, trust me.
Speaking of which, have you ever heard about the turtle that sued the chicken? Well I haven't either, so if you do, let me know.
Seriously though, do you know how the Newfie died while he was drinking milk? the cow fell over

So... Youth Camp has been over for officially five days and guess what? I am bored to death. There is absolutely nothing to do!!! I wanna go for a walk or go to the park or play volleyball or basketball or yes, I would even play baseball!!! But guess what? We live in downtown Cincinnati and I cannot go for walks by myself. I have no yard to play basketball or volleyball in without looking extremely silly.
Does anybody in this city believe in taking walks? If so CALL ME!!! I'm going with you!!!!
I am so tired of sitting around the house!

My Summer So Far

Our internet is finally working!!!! Well here is what has happened recently. Joel and Jen came. Jeffrey and Jeremy graduated. We went to Indiana for YaLaina's graduation party. Went to Alabama youth camp. Didn't I have great grammar? I'm amazing.
Seriously though, I had a blast at youth camp! The services were amazing with great messages and great songs. Darrell Stetler II is one of my favourite preachers ever. I could go into a lot of detail but suffice it to say, I had a blast!
Our room was so much fun! I had so much fun and I grew a lot! We had our own bathroom, a broken door, and all kinds of other great stuff. We won tug of war, and even though our team didn't win, I still had so much fun!
Well guess that's it.
I'm going to bed.

Teen Power #2

We are doing a booth for the open house down at Main Street Chapel this Sunday, and took a bunch of pics this week. Hopefully this has enough content for my two readers that like to complain so much.
We had a normal lesson time, then snack (hotdogs and cookies donated my Noo-noo's father), then a water balloon fight. It was a lot of fun even though some of them decided they didn't want to get wet :)

I kept forgetting to let them pick their own balloons, and handing them to the kids.
Their names always crack me up. They get to pick their own names and they're so random. I think Ally came up with the telephone poles one though :)
They were trying so hard not to miss the balloon, they would jum REALLY hard, making the balloons pop SO loud.
The review game. We were gonna do the balloon stomp for the outside game, but didn't realize Ezra was doing the water balloon fight. So, we just put points on the balloons and made them stomp them out. To make it interesting, they had to get the balloon on their first try or they didn't get the point.
Our Easter decarations upstairs. It was so cute when Allison asked them for their definition of Easter, they all said Easter bunnies, hence the above poster.

It was so cute, we had all of them write their favourite things about Teen Power #2 down, and some of them were so cute I almost cried!!! Like, "I like Teen Power cause I get to see Ezera and Ester and everyone else," and "I like teen power cause of the people I get to see and that I get to be myself there."
I wish I had all the papers to put on here. Their spellig was so cute. They would be great at creating another round of mad gab :)

IHC

Well, the only exciting thing I did was go to IHC last week. It was really odd cause it didn't seem like I knew all that many people. Usually there's more people to hang out with then there is time, but not so much this year (since a CERTAIN SOMEONE wouldn't come down from Canada!)
GBS sang Tuesday night, and yeah....
Last night I baby-sat until two in the morning, so that was fun.
Tonight is the spring recital so I'll be playing in that....
Sunday is our PR Service........

Cell Phones and Band Tour

Well, nothing new is going on here. I have a cell phone now. It's the same as pictured above, except red. It's Ezra's old one. I despise it!!!!!
Oh well, we can't have everything. I'm just happy to have a phone.
In other news, we're leaving on band tour Friday. We're going out west, so I'll get to see Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri for the first time!!! YEAH!!!!!

Well, as most of you know, we went to TACS Competition yesterday. It went really well. We had to be on the bus by 6:45 (meaning I had to wake up at 5:30) and got there around nine. We had the opening assembly where they talk about the pizza lines:):):) Seriously though, every year they talk about all this dumb stuff that everyone can figure out for themselves. So after sitting a billion hours, choir sang at 10:00. We sang 'Go Down Moses' and 'Jubilate' (pronounced U-beh-la-tah). It was funny cause I think the guy was new and didn't realize we were supposed to announce ourselves, so he announced us and pronounced the song JU-BI-LITE, just the way it was spelled in English, not with Latin pronounciation. It was quite funny I must say.
Then, at like 11:30 12 sang. We did pretty much awful as I knew we would, but I didn't really care.:)
We went to McDonalds then, and came back to hear Brittany and Jocelyn sing.
24 sang at 3:00 , (Dem Bones, and Agnus Dei (ON-EUS DAY-E) and Katrin and my piano duet was at 3:30.
Brandon played at 4:40, and Katrin at 5:00.
Here's what we won. If I just say one thing, it means we won the same in both Shawnee and Tennessee, I think only one of them had different scores.
Band: 1st
Choir: 1st and best of show
24: 1st and best of show
12: 2ond (I was really surprised with that one, cause we were pretty terrible:)
Jeremy and John's duet: Shawnee: 3rd, Tennessee: 2ond
Katrin: 1st and best of show

Katrin and My duet: 1st
We had to pick between choir and 24, and Katrin and Brandon to play for the assembly that night, so 24 sang , and Brandon (since he's going to graduate this year) played.
We got home at 11:50. It was a lot of fun.
I can't write today. If you're wondering why my English is so bad in this thing, that's why.

Well, we got to go up to Ontario and Michigan this weekend. It was SO much fun!!! I got to see my new niece, play hockey, and go ski-dooing!
I put a bunch more pics on facebook, so go on there to see more.
Jaylee is SO adorable! I'm so glad I got to see her!
It's been like five years since I've been able to go ski-dooing or play hockey. I was so excited.
Most of the hockey game was spent standing out of the way trying not to get trampled, but it was still fun!
I think out of all the things I've missed the most since leaving, besides the people of course, is skd-dooing. I absolutely LOVE it!!!!
Oh well, we can't have the best of both worlds:)
I'll post more later.
I'm SO tired right not.
BTY, just as a little clarification, those are snow pants I'm wearing:) I only wear them because I'd freeze if I didn't, and when I go out in public (exp. when I went snow tubing last winter) I wear a skirt over top. So PLEASE don't think I wear pants at all I don't.

I have the most exciting news ever!!!! I'm going to be an aunt for the 7th time!!! YEAH!!!! Dorcas is going to have another baby, and as you can tell, I'm very excited.

She usually tells the parents first, then the siblings, but this time, I got to know WAY too early. It was SO hard keeping it a secret for this long.

Well, guess that's all my exciting news for today!!!

8:00 - Wake up (yes I did push the snooze button for a full hour. I reset my record:)
8:12 - Have devotions, eat breakfast, etc.
9:30 - Practice piano
10:18 - Get on Facebook
10: 27 - Get shower, comb hair, read for about five minutes, etc.
11:27 - Leave for choir
12:24- Go to lunch
12:58 - Babysit
3:26 - Come home and talk to Mom
4:00 - Send Valentines/Clean room/do something else that I forget
6:01 - go practice piano duet with Katrin for a billion hours.
7:15 - Practice piano for a billion more hours.
8:00 - Finally start school
9:32 - Write dumb blog thing
9:38 - Do more school.
Probably around 3:00 a.m. (jk) go to bed.
6:00 a.m. - Do same thing all over again.:):):)
Well, as you can see I had a truly fascinating day (cyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyke):):)

Happy Birthday To Me

Well, first I have to apologize for not blogging in forever:):) My Birthday was last Saturday.
At first, we were going to have supper here, but then I had to baby-sit, so we decided to have it Sunday afternoon after Church. Then Mom decided we had to do something on my actual birthday, so we went out to Chipotle. So yummy!!!! After that, we went to Cato and Gabriel Brothers. They had all these shoes at Gabriel Brothers (shown above). They were SO hideous!!!! I tired on the pink ones, and Katrin did the green ones. They were about twenty feet tall, and the toes could kill someone:):) It was so funny. I like some coloured shoes, but not ones like that:) They also had these hideous ones that were like straps around the ankle. SO UGLY!!!!
On Sunday afternoon, we had lunch with Katrin, Allison, Ezra, Matt, Dorcas, Caleb, and Mom. We had Poutine and Blueberry Pie.
For you Americans who have to idea what Poutine is, it's a very yummy Canadian food. It's Chips (fries for you:) with gravy and cheese. It sounds disgusting, but it's SO yummy. It's like my favourite food.
We also had blueberry pie. In Cochrane, blueberries grew wild all the time so we were always eating blueberries. Blueberry Pie, Blueberry Cobbler, Blueberry Crisp, you name it. I miss it so bad, cause no matter what they tell you, canned blueberries do NOT taste like real blueberries:) So when I saw that Blueberries were on sale for a dollar at Kroger, I convinced Mom to make me pie rather then cake. It's been a whole five years since I've had good blueberry pie.
I actualy did get a cake though, cause tha Lambeth's brought over the cutest little one Saturday night. It was so cute (above).
I got so much stuff. I got a stereo (mentiones in a previous post), a shirt, tons of card making stuff, an ornament, some headbands, PJ's, a purse, gel pens, money:), a sweater, soap, and tons of other stuff.
I also got 15 cards:) They must of worked hard to get that number right:)

We had to cancel Teen Power last night. So I invited Nini and Katrin to come over. We went sledding, then played life.

Soccer, Coats, and Watermelon

Well, as most of you know, Cincinnati has a couple inches of snow (enough to put the city into a frenzy. we have about six inches, and no one's aloud on the roads.... they ought to move to Cochrane:).
So today, I brought out the hideous, but VERY warm coat.
REASONS I DON'T LIKE IT:
#1. It's an awful dark green.
#2. It's about 14 sizes too big.
#3. It was made for -50 degree weather:) I roast wearing it:)lol
#4. I think I covered it:)lol
So today when I put it on, I did the first thing any upstanding citizen would do.... I reached in my pocket...
What do I find.
An Elephant? No (although I could probably fit one in there)
A snake? No (not even a snake would brave my pocket.
It was......................... $40.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH I of course immediately start screaming!!!! It was so amazing!!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Well, guess that's it.
I played soccer tonight in the gym for inter murals, and it was a blast. I made 27 of our 3 points (only Katrin would believe that... she did).
Hopefully someone else can't come next week and I'll get to play then!!! YEAHHHHHHH

Buying Spree:)

Well, as some of you know, I've had the same coat (above) for five years. We finally decided to buy me a new one. After MUCH searching:), we finally found one I liked. I got the one below at Burlington Coat Factory for a pretty good price (I wouldn't say great unless it was under five dollars:). They had another one there that I LOVED!!! But it was $150:):) Yeah... about that:):)
So I'm very happy with that!!!!

Then, on Saturday and go a new light for my closet (now you know why I wore that red skirt with the pink shirt:):)lol JK!!!!:).

Also, as some of you may or may not know, my stereo gave up the ghost. I've had it for a couple years, although the tape player didn't work (hence the black thing underneath left speaker, hence why stereo's in my closet:):)lol. I got the stereo below for my birthday. I was so excited I couldn't wait till Saturday. So I am VERY happy with my purchases!!! (Or maybe I should say my mom's purchases:)lol

Why Babies Should Never Play With Phones.

WHITE ROCK, B.C. - A B.C. man probably wishes he had given his 11-month-old son a set of keys to play with instead of a phone, after the infant accidentally dialled 9-1-1 and brought police to dad's marijuana grow operation.

Mounties say a 9-1-1 call came in from a White Rock, B.C. residence Friday morning but whoever was on the other end of the line hung up. Officers arrived at the residence and after numerous knocks on the door went unanswered, they entered the home.

"The gentleman was quite surprised," said White Rock RCMP Const. Janelle Canning.

She said the 29-year-old male, startled by the sudden sight of police, insisted he hadn't made the call.

When it was suggested a child might have dialled, the father objected and said his son was far too young.

That's when police spotted the baby boy, phone in hand.

"We saw him playing with the cordless phone and just pressing all the buttons, so evidently he had called 9-1-1," Canning said.

With that mystery solved, officers began inspecting the residence and soon discovered a 500-plant marijuana grow operation.

The father was arrested and will appear in court in early April on charges of production of a controlled substance and mischief.

The boy was removed from the home by the Ministry of Children and Family Development, though he was later released into his mother's custody.

The mother does not live in the residence and Canning says she had no idea what was going on at the home.

Olavi..... Part #2

Well, we made it through the first day:) YEAH us.
I think the hardest part was forgetting. Like in Youth Service, I would laugh at something and be all happy, then I'd remember.
Oh well. I'll try to post something more motivational later.
All day I just kept thinking of all the awesome memories that I have. I'll cherish them forever.
So many times I wanted to watch one more hockey game with him, play one more game of Krocanoe, tell him I love him one more time. But I can't. The most I can do is tell people now that I love them.
All this sure makes you grateful for the little things. It makes bombing a test, having a bad hair day, having the stomach flu, etc. all seem so unimportant.
How many times have I gotten so worried about me looking good (not that it ever happens), having fun, etc. and missed out on great everyday memories with someone?
When it comes down to it, I won't remember all the money, gifts, etc. Olavi gave me. I'll remember his eyes filling up with tears the first time we went back to visit after we moved. I'll remember how he's always say, "Well............ not too bad," after I blotched up a move in Krocanoe. His awesome accent when he said, "Pelouvis (post, for when we played Krocanoe), Ella Huda (shut your mouth:):):), and all his other words. Going into his garage and smelling the smoked fish, knowing we'd get fished smoked sandwiches sometime very soon (the yummiest things you'll ever taste). Trying to eat the sandwiches when he insisted you had to leave the bones in. Why take the bones out when it's raw when you can do it while you eat right?:) So many simple everyday things. The things I'll remember forever.
So for the two people that read my blog, it's not about doing great things together, it's just being together. The kind of memories you'll have forever.
Well, you probably just skimmed through this without even reading it, and that's OK. I think I'm doing this for me as much as anyone.
I miss him so much it hurts.
One amazing thing is how close God has been. When it hurt so bad you didn't think I didn't think I could take it, God was right there. Like Pastor said today in his message, God can join us in anything, anywhere. All we have to do is invite him.
One of the funniest memories I have of him was when we found out what Ella Huda meant. We heard them say it quite often when they argued. They spoke English fluently, but whenever they argued, or it was a conversation too complicated for Olavi to explain in English, they switched to Finish. When we asked them what it meant, we found out it meant 'shut your mouth':):). No wonder they didn't say it in English.

Well, I suppose I blog about the sad, and the good.
As most of you know, Olavi, our neighbour (and pretty much Grandpa) from Cochrane, passed away today at 1:00.
I already miss him more then I can say. I sit here thinking of all the memories we have. He was about the sweetest man I've ever known. I can still hear him say, "Well, you look pretty nice!" every time I walked into Church.
He had a really strong Finish accent (that's where he's from) and was so amazingly sweet.
I remember the time Mom was in the hospital with her gallbladder. Of course my dad and brothers had no idea to do hair, and it was just up in a know thing. We went over there, and he surprised us all by saying he would comb it. I looked like a little Swedish girl when he was done:) .
One blessing I have is that this year for my Birthday, they sent me this Bumble Bee. It sings a song. And made me cry when I got it. It's pretty amazing, cause since we moved they figured it was not worth the money to send gifts, so they always just send money. So, at least I have one last present from him.
The last time I talked to him was just before Christmas. He never talked on the phone much, cause with his heavy Finish accent, and the phone static, he couldn't understand us much. But, the last time he called he asked me who my boyfriend was. When I said I didn't have one yet, he said, well I guess I'm still your boyfriend then. It was always the joke growing up, because he always said he wanted to be my boyfriend.
I love him so much, and will miss him more then I can say. Today has been full of tears and tissues, but I know we'll make it.
I wish I could say we know he made a commitment to God, but I can't. We can only hope. If you wouldn't mind praying for Mae though. There's still hope for her.
Well, guess that's it. Keep us in your prayers. We'll definitely need um!!

Today, when Auntie E wasn't looking, I sneaked on her blog and posted. I am a whole year old today!!! Isn't that exciting?
I had a big birthday party. Cousin YaLanda and YaLaina, Aunt Rindy, Auntie E, Uncle Ezra, Grandma, Mommy, and Daddy were all there. I got a rocking horse, a push behind thing, lots of blocks, a stacker thing, cute cloths, a puzzle, and a jungle towel. YaLanda brought me a cake that was really pretty. I didn't eat much cake, but I LOVED the icing!!!
There was also lots of paper for me to rip (why was I allowed today?), and strings for me to pull.
I was very tired in the end, but it was a fun day.
Daddy gave me a 45 minute bath (I love baths!!!), and Mommy and Daddy played balls with me all morning!!!!
I was allowed to touch things I can't usually touch, and get away with all manner of things.
Does this happen everyday now that I'm 1, or just today?
Well, I'm very tired now, so I need to go to bed. The only reason I took time to post was cause' Auntie E is so busy she doesn't have time.

My First Almost Failed Test

I had a very close call today. As some of you know, I have decided NOT to fail any tests in High School.
Well today, I got a 78%:(. I was so upset, I was crying:):). It was awful. Then my mom looked back, and she had marked one spot as 2 points, when it was only 1!!!! YAHOO!!!
Moral of the story, I got a 86%. And although that's not a good grade, it sure beats failing!!!
Well, that's my wonderful news for today):):)

Well, Mom and I have been looking for menues for Christmas, and found this one. Do you think it would work Rachel?

Breakfast: Oaty Meal
Ingrediants:
1 1/2 cups Cheerios (or store brand equivalent)
1 tsp. sugar
3/4 cup whole milk
Directions: Pour Cheerios into bowl. Sprinkle sugar over top. Add milk. Stir and serve
Variant: Try adding the milk first and then the sugar.

Snack: Java Jelly a-Go-Go
Ingrediants:
2 Cups boiling water
1 tsp. instant coffee
(optional: 1 tsp. sugar)
(optional: 1 jelly doughnut
Directions: Cook water until it bubbles. Scoop coffee in coffee mug, add bubbling water; and stir (Add optional ingredients to mix at this point). Place doughnut on plate and serve
Variant: If you don't have a clean plate, or any dishes at all, you can hold doughnut in hand and eat over the sink.

Lunch: Pizza
Ingredients:
1 phone book
1 phone
1 $10 bill
1 can of Coke
Directions: Open pohne book to section letter P. This follows O and precedes Q. Under heading for "pizza" find nearest ipzzeria. Phone in order for pizza with toppings of your choice. Wait 30 minutes or less. Upon arrival, pay for pizza including tip for driver. Open Coke and serve.
Varient: Buy 2 leiter of Coke.

Dinner: Chef's Home Style Surprise
Ingredients:

We went to the Academy Christmas program last night (I kind of had to since H&S Wind and String Ensamble played -that just cracked me up when I saw that in the bulletin, cause all it is is a fancy name for High School Band:):):)lol. Oh well, at least we sound professional:):). (Don't pay any attention to the grammar in that last sentence!!!!!
The on pic (I'm not sure which number since my camera doesn't do the pics, just the code), is of the kindergartners. They were so cute!!! They sang Christmas Time is Here, Jingle Bells, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Gumbi, Brennen, and Shane accompanied them on the guitars and drums, and it was really neat.
Another thing, I thought I had the whole house to clean up and stuff, but when I woke up this morning, Mom had already cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, living room, her bedroom, and the dining room (giving her 3 hours of sleep). She's the best mom ever!!!!
Moral of the story, I got tons of schoolwork done, so I am a very happy person!!!!! YEAH!!!!!
So far, I've finished Geography and Proverbs. I should finish up Physical Science today, so that means I have to finish 1 pace in Life of Christ (that'll take just a couple hours), a billion PACE's of English (my least favourite subject this year), and 1 PACE of Algebra. Poor me. I must hurry on. I have so much to do.
We're having a Christmas party over here tonight for all the kitchen workers, so I have to go make food:)) (My smiley has a double chin):):):):):)

We found another mouse today!!!! AHHHH.
I walk into our kitchen to get a drink, and that THING has the audacity to scurry across our floor.
I of course screamed and ran to get Ezra, who came down.
It was actually kind of funny, cause he couldn't run on our linoleum.
So, Ezra put him in the bucket and set him free to run around in Dixie and Andy's apartment JK!!!! We would not do that!!! He actually took him outside.
Surprisingly enough, when he (the mouse) was in the bucket, he was actually kind of cute. I know, you're all probably shocked, but yes he was. He looked like a tiny hamster.
So, we set him free to fun loose in the wilds of Cincinnati (or course he'll probably just come right back in, but oh well).
Well, guess that's it.
P.S. I think that's the end of my mice phobia. They really aren't so bad.

We had the GBS Christmas play this past weekend. It was pretty cool cause it was a Victorian theme. the awful thing though, was the hats!!!! They were awful!!!! They strangled me every time I had to sing!!!! Sunday night was espicailly awful because I had my hair different, so my hat didn't fit right at all. I look retarted in the pics with Ashley!!!!!
I didn't find this year went as good as last year. I think we just had better songs last year, cause last year the crowd got pretty excited, but this year they just kind of sat there:):)

The lost has been found!!!! I lost this dress, like a billion years ago (OK this summer) and haven't been able to find it. I thought maybe Titus and Cherie took it with them when they moved their stuff out of my closet, but nope. Finally, tonight, my Mom found it!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! So I'm going to wear it on Sunday.

OK, so my cousin's getting married right? I have no idea what to wear. That seems to be my reoccurring theme. I mean, I know I have more cloths then those poor people in Africa, and probably America, but I couldn't find anything to wear.
So I finally decided to wear my faithful red dress that I wear to every occasion:):) Oh well, hopefully by this time people have forgotten it:):) lol.
I was thinking about wearing the outfit in the third photo, but my Mom convinced me it wasn't a good idea:):)lol jk.

Well, my apologies for not posting sooner, but I got the flu Saturday night.
To make a long story short, I didn't get to go with band on Sunday WAHHHHHHHHHHH. I was so bummed!!!!!
Also, our internet is not working!!! It's so frustrating.
We're going to my cousin's wedding this weekend. Hopefully I'll get some pics:):)

My favourite part of Christmas!!! I love the village. It's so special.

Last year, I started my own Christmas village. I only have three peices (the house without lights -I didn't have a two pronger thingy:) power strip- is one of Mom's). I got the Church and Schoolhouse last year, and the house I got when I was little (long story). The schoolhouse is really neat, cause as most of you know, I want to be a school teacher.
Don't worry, my village is not finished yet. We didn't have any snow, so I had to use a tree skirt thing-a-ma-bobber, and I don't have a power bar that with only two prongs. As a result, I couldn't hide the cords very well, so sometime in the very near future, I hope to fix it.

Ice Skating

Adam, Katrin, and I took a bunch of kids ice skating tonight. It was lots of fun!!! Except for Sabrina who decided to pout the whole night:):)
They were all really good, and we didn't have one bit of trouble with them the whole night.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping pater if I'm opening it, gift bags if I'm wrapping:)

2. Real tree or Artificial? Definitely artificial. I think real trees aren't shaped nice, and don't last as long as I want to keep up my Christmas tree.

3. When do you put up the tree? Usually the week of thanksgiving, but this year, two weeks before:)

4. When do you take the tree down? Within a couple days. Once Christmas is over, it's over for me.

5. Do you like eggnog? I love it! I hate it!!!!

6. Favorite gift received as a child? The dollhouse my brother and sister made me. We didn't have a lot of money right then, and they decided I didn't have enough Christmas presents that year. So, the night before Christmas, they went out to the shed and made me a dollhouse. Titus built it (cutting the boards with a jigsaw), and Dorcas varnished it. It's really cool.

7. Hardest person to buy for? My brothers, guys are so hard!!! You can't exactly buy them lotion.

8. Easiest person to buy for? Dorcas. I usually go WAY over the limit for her. We have really similar tastes, so everything I want to but, I settle for buying for her. She has it made with me!!!:)

9. Do you have a nativity scene? We have billions:):):) We have one on about every peice of furniture:):

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Definately mail. E-mails are so impersonal!!!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Don't really have any.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? The Altimate Gife, Christmas Shoes; etc.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? The day after Thanksgiving. Sometimes I pick up other stuff throughout the year.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? I don't think I've ever recycled anything. My people destroy the world:):)

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Music, decarations, food, everything....:)

16. Lights on the tree? Any colour but white. I think they can look pretty on other peoples trees, but not on mine!!! I like the traditional multi-coloured ones on our tree.

17. Favorite Christmas song? I Don't Want A Lot For Christmas; Merry Christmas Darling; O Holy Night; Christmas Shoes; all of them!!!

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? All my brothers always travel in. We always have Christmas at home.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Nope

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Definately a star!!!

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Pajamas on Christmas Eve; presents Christmas Morning.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? People who are so grumpy, they are glumy at Christmas.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Too many to name!! I love my gingerbread snowflake, star, tons of others.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Homeade Bread!!!

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? A new shoulder rest (for my violin).

Well, last night we caved. We put our Christmas tree up. We were sitting here bored, so we just decided to do it. While we always put it up early, I think this is the earliest ever!!!
I absolutely love Christmas!!! My family always goes all out with decorations. Since we didn't have a Christmas tree in Canada, we always put out a ton of decorations. We put the big lights (the ones that are on the Time Machine at Church now) around the windows and roofline of our house, hung tinsel with lights around every archway and doorway, replaced all our flowers with Christmas stuff, and set out all our Christmas nick-nacks.
I love opening each box, cause everything I pull out has some special meaning or memory. So far, all we have is our tree, but hopefully I'll be able to post some of the other stuff.
We do our tree very traditional. With multi coloured lights, icicles, ornaments, and these foil icicle things.

Here's one of the plastic icicles we put on. They look so pretty when the lights shine through them!!!

Every year we put these on. We have two for everyone in the family. One with their favourite Scripture verse, and one with their favourite song. The one below is my favourite Scripture.

Here are a few of my favourite ornaments (there's a bunch of other ones that I love too!!!). I love pulling out each one and remembering the story or person behind it.

Well, as most of you know, I've been gone for the last couple of days, but as promised, I have returned (cool, that makes five commas).
1. I have a prayer request for you. A few of you know Mae and Olavi. They were our neighbours up in Canada, and pretty much our grandparents. They're from Finland, and about the sweetest people you'll ever meet. Well, Olavi has a brain anuarism (however you spell that, my spell check isn't working), and it's spread a from 5 --- to 8 ----. If you could pray for them I would greatly appreciate it. They aren't Christians so that's what makes it doubly important.
2. Caleb is crawling!!!! Yeah!!!!!
3. I get absolutely no comments. I come back expecting all these wonderful comments, and guess what... none. At least I have you, YaLaina, without you, I wouldbe commetless (that's a pretty cool word:):)

A busy day in the life.

RING RING!!!! That's what my alarm clock said this morning at 6:45. What do I do? Why quickly hit snooze of course (that was a dumb question). I continue pushing snooze a total of ten times, until it finally clicks in with me that I need to get up.
I jump out of bed and make a dash for the shower (I think I set a world record). I then hurridly throw on some random cloths (that's always a good thing), and pull my hair back into some hideous knot.
I make it to band at 7:59 (yeah me), only to find them starting a minute early (how dare they). I play all manner of Christmas carols such as I Saw Mama Kissing Santa Claus, Merry Christmas, Jingle Bell Rock, Frosty the Snowman, Let it Snow, etc. (yes, we have very cool songs this year).
I then hurry up to the cafiteria and get my breakfest (eating it on my front porch with some stranger I met along the way).
I get on the internet to check my e-mail (OK, I didn't have time, but everyone has to have some normalicy in their day).
It is now 9:00 a.m. and I practise till 10:00 a.m.
I then try to make sense of my Successful Living (or Study of Proverbs whichever you prefer) till 10:30.
My next chore is to pull my hair back into some form of decency, and I'm out the door to help Mrs. Clemens with her piano studio for the beginning class.
I run to choir at 11:46 a.m. and sing until 12:50 p.m.
I then go to my piano studio (I actually managing to be on time to one thing today) and try to calm my racing liver (if you don't come to chapel you won't get that).
I then run home, tidy up the house, and practise my violin.
I scurry (there's a new one) to the mailbox and drop in our phone bill, and go to my violin lesson only to find out it's canceled.
I come home, do some schoolwork and eat my lunch (at 5:00, I was starving:).
Next, I set out the food for teen power, and leave to go clean a house with my mom.
I am back now, and getting ready to cram a whole day of schoolwork into my brain (did I mention that I didn't get to bed until 2:00 a.m. last night?).
Well, that's all.
I know this post is full of runon sentences, misspelled words, etc., but you'll just have to put up with it. I'm in a hurry:)
Tomorrow is also going to be very busy as I am baby-sitting three children all day, doing school, and going to Church, oh well.
I probably won't post until Monday since I'll be going to my aunt and uncles house for the half-week (isn't that a cool word?:).

Luke, Rachel, Laura, and Jeremy came this weekend. We had so much fun!!! We were so crazy and did such fun stuff:):)
We as so much fun:):). The only bad part was that Rachel just got her wisdom teeth pulled out, so she was kind of hurting.

As some of you know, I have not been able to find any cloths!!! I've gone shopping quite a few times this year:) but all I've gotten is two shirts and two skirts (ok, I know that's a lot, but I like to waste my money on cloths:):).
In just the last three days, I've gotten two skirts and a shirt.
I'm so excited. I love getting new cloths!!!!!

Today, as I'm calmly getting ready for choir, one such creature had the audacity to run across my bedroom floor about a foot from my feet.
Needless to say, I did what any sensible girl would do and calmly walked downstairs (if you believe that I'll tell you another one).
It was the most horrible thing ever. I now officially don't like mice!!!
By the way, the mouse pictured looks nothing like the one I saw!! The one I say was hideous!!!

Well, I'm back!!:) Did you miss me:)
I went with band today to baby-sit Carsen. He is so cute, and he listened so well.
We went to a Church in St. Mary's and a Church somewhere else.
The evening service was so good!!!
On the way home, the trailer on the van got a flat tire, so we had to stop while they fixed it.
All in all we loaded at 6:45 a.m. and got back at 11:30 p.m.
I also forgot my camera, so I have no pics to post. The one of Carsen is very old.

Youth Challenge.

I went to Youth Challenge last night.
It was so cool, cause I wanted Jasmin and Nini to go but didn't have a way to get them there. And as it all turned out, Adam and Katrin were able to take all three of us so I got to take them.

We had Missionary Convention all day again today. It was so incredible. I loved it.
Tonight Dr. Richardson spoke about reaching the Muslims.
It was so neat, cause he showed how the Bible is proven true time and time again against the Koran. He's done tons of research about it, and it's really cool to see how many falsehoods there in the Koran.
He said that if you took out all the repetition in the Koran, you would be taking out 45% of it.
You need to read the book if you haven't already:):):) I don't do a very good job describing it!!!
Another thing I like about Him, is his humor. He has the Canadian:) dry sense of humor like Joel and Ezra (only I don't think everyone gets all of his jokes all the time:).
We also had choir pics today. It was too cold to imagine!!!! I was literally shaking by the time we were done:):)!~!!!!!!!
Well, enough of my mumblings.
Maybe he'll pay me for giving him so much promotion:):):)

I've started up a new blog for Teen Power #2. It's something new Ezra's started up at Main St. You can read all about it at teenpower2.blogspot.com. Sorry I still can't do the link thing. I think my computer's doubled (ask me if you didn't get that).
Now, for the big announcement, it's really old, but like I said, I haven't had internet. You know how Joel and Jen are gonna have a baby? It's gonna be a girl!!! Isn't that awesome?!!! I love girl babies (Come to think of it I love boy babies. Maybe I just love all babies:).

A couple Sunday's ago, our Church had a going away party for Titus and Cherie. I miss them SO much. It's horrible, but I'm really happy cause I know they're doing the right thing!!!!

We finally have Internet at our house!!!! YEAH!!!!! Let's throw a party!!!! You have NO idea how excited I am.
This is a very old post, but it was so hilarious I just have to post it!!!
I went to the dentist, like two weeks ago, and the Novocain did something strange to me. My whole face was completely lopsided!!! It was the funniest thing you will ever see. I wish I had a pic to show you!!!
It pushed my smile up equal with my nose, I kid you not!!!!! I looked like some deformed child!!! So funny!!!
OK, maybe you guys won't think so, but if you'd of seen me, you would.
Katrin and I were in the Library trying (unsuccessfully) to stop laughing!!!

It was Laura's birthday on the 22. I wasn'there, so I'm just now posing it. I love you SO much, Laura. And think you're INCREDIBLY special!!!!!

Water, a rug, a lamp, a HUGE bag of Sour Patch Kids (so yummy), and a billion other things. It was SO funny cause we had a pink lamp with a navy blue and burgandy rug. The reason being the rug was cheap and I really wanted a pink lamp to brighten up the room. We are SO weird:):) We had a blast:):)

I have given in. I hate crocs, but have decided they are VERY comfortable and easy to walk (for those of you who read the comment, and didn't see this post when I first published it, this is where I said sleep:)) in. So....................................... I bought a pair. Oh well.

I also made lemonade, but we were talking and laughing so hard I only put half the amount of powder as I was supposed to.

I absolutely love summer colours (TN) like orange, green, hot pink and purple, and yellow. I have always wanted an orange shirt, and I found the cutest one!!! It's short sleeves, so I have to wear an undershirt. It also has two buttons on the front. So cute:)

Here's some pics of Ontario camp, Michagan Camp, and some time we spent with Joel and Jen.
Both camps were awesome, and I learned a lot there.
Enjoy the pics!!!

The ones above and below are of Michagan camp. It was so much fun!!! Some are of skit night. It was interesting cause nobody could talk in any of the skits. You had to act them all out silently. It started out as a freeze frame and you had to freeze for thirty seconds. You got a lot of points if you remained still. Another interesting thing was that you were given the play to do instead of choosing it yourself. We were given the story of Esther :) and won first place. Joel was the king, and Eric (the guy in the red shirt) was Hamen.
We had to stay til Saturday cause of Joel's board meeting on Saturday, so on Friday night, Joel took us for Ice cream and then to Wal-Mart. Some funny things happened that night. It was pouring that night, and when we went to get out of the car, Christina forgot to take off her seatbelt. So she's sitting there in the rain trying to figure out how to get out of the car:) Then when I get out, I fail to see an orange block, and trip over it. I broke my flip-flop (hense the pic), and had to buy a new pair there. We then started laughing so hard and couldn't stop. I think everyone thought we were drunk or something. It was so halarious!!!
The theme of the banquet was patriotic, so the Langstaff's went as Mounties.

Youth Camp was SO much fun!!! Although we didn't place as high as last year, my team leader was much better, so I had more fun. Enjoy the pics!
The banquet was lots of fun! I also broke the rail on the side of my bed, in case you were wondering what that broken bored was:)

We had way too much fun when we were supposed to be asleep. The Stampers bought freezies for all of us, they were so good on hot days!!! They also had a bunch of water bottles which they let us come get at any time. It was so nice of them!!!

We stopped at CiCi's on the way down there.

All of the skits were really good!!! They were really funny. Our tean actually won third place! YEAH US!!! It was about Solomon the two ladies with the baby. It actually turned out really good.

Our team MAJOURLY lost the tug of war!!! It was really annoying cause team 2 had like eight huge guys, so they kind of beat everyone

These pics are from the stars and stiffs baseball game. They put Ezra on the stars team even though he wasn't a camper. Everyone was saying how dumb the stars and stiffs game was, cause the stiffs always win. Even with Ezra on their team, the stars lost majourly!!!
It was SO cool having Marjie there! She hasn't changed a bit!!!

The ones below and above were taken in the van. We had way too much fun talking laughing, and doing each others hair!!! The trip home was a BLAST!!! I was with Katrin, Brittany, Kaylen, Tristine, Chris, Walter, Olivia, Mr. and Mrs. Stamper, and a few others.
I'm sure the stampers will never want to go again with how crazy we got!!!! It was SO much fun. We were singing like some certain people who will remain nameless, and it was hilarious!!!!!

Well, the big, big, big news is that....... drum roll please..... I'M DONE WITH SCHOOL!!!! YEAH!!! CONFETTI!!! PALM-PALMS!!!!! TAMBOURINES!!! Isn't that sad? I absolutely love school, and to part with it is such sweet sorrow, until I have to do it tomorrow, then I shall cry, and say good-bye, to all the fun, I had once won. Ok, that made absolutely NO sense!!! Who cares? Not I said the pig as he picked up his blink mouse and Jill. Actually, in all seriousness, I will miss school greatly............ CYKE ($100.00 Allison).
I'm also REALLY excited, cause I'm going to youth camp tomorrow!!!

Well audios, which to a certain someone (who shares names with the first man that ever lived) who will remain anonymous, it is spelled that way. I have it on very good authority (if you consider him that, I don't! HEHEHEHE Josh:) it is spelled that way.

I've barely gotten any sleep lately, so I'm a little hyper.
